Basics for Newbies

If you are brand new to building your own webpage with a template program such as the ones used by web.com and godaddy.com, this information may be helpful.

CORRECT LINKING TO YOUR WEBSITE:
When putting in your affiliate link it is crucial that you have one space before and after the link. If your link is the last word in your sentence, put a space after the link and then your period. The same for commas and any other punctuation. ( http://www.xxx.com ) Note the space before the link and after the link.

Follow the links for targeted marketing campaigns. There will be letters for various campaigns (e-mail, snail mail, postcards) as time goes on. If you have an idea for a letter or a campaign, please let me know at affiliates@healingsilks.com . (Notice the space between the link and the “.” ?)

TO COPY AND PASTE:
1. Put your cursor just in front of the first letter
2. Left click your mouse and hold it down as you move the cursor to the last character you want to copy. (Your text will be highlighted.)
3. Release the mouse.
4. Move the cursor into the highlighted area.
5. Right click the mouse.
6. Click “copy” near the top of the drop-down list.
7. What you copied is now on your “clipboard”.
8. Move the cursor where ever you want to copy the information, a new page, on your email
9. Left click to reveal the drop down list.
10. Click “paste” and it should appear.
